Design Options
The method of this paper is aimed at studying and realizing an effective 3D Crystal Cut Dome structure based on geological maps and DEM. The method mainly includes three sub-methods: (1) adaptively calculating the attitude of the points on the stratigraphic boundary and correcting the “self-intersecting” patches and burrs generated by the bottom boundary generation; (2) separately deducing the top surface from the stratigraphic boundary and then generating the model side surface with a Bezier curve based on the attitude data of the top edge points, which can effectively control the morphology of the model side surface.
(3) Using the attitude data of the borehole and geological section data to generate a model of the dome structural profile, which can reflect the shape of the fault developed in the structure area. Then, the model can be used to determine the best position of the drilled wells and provide reference for constructing a better geological survey.
